It's the time of the year to have "the promises to be broken". Face palm to me and my negativity. Hahaha! Reverse psychology do work sometimes. Oohhh yeah?! The new year resolution game is up again. For this year, I am inspired by this book...

You know what's sad about reading books? It's that you fall in love with the characters. They grow on you. And as you read, you start to feel what they feel - all of them - you become them. And when you're done, you're never the same. Sure you're still you, you look the same, talk in the same manner, but something in you has changed. Something i the way you think, the way you choose, sometimes, even the things you say may differ. But it all comes down to the state you go to after a nice novel. The after-feeling. It's amazing, but somehow, you feel left alone by that world you were once in. It's overwhelming. But it makes you sad. Cause for once you were this, this otherworldly being in... Neverwhere, and then you suddenly have to say goodbye after a ferw weeks from when you read the last page. When you've recovered from that state. It's just... quite sad. --Atomos

All right! All right! I know!!! I lied...

I was just reading the back cover of the book when automatically my hands searched for Chapter One, and before I knew it... uhmmm I ended reading several chapters! hahahaha!! Hahaaay!

I know! I said that I won't read it, well not until I watch The Hunger Games on the big screen, but.. but.. I can't help it! I'm sorry! Chooorrrooott! To make the long story short, yup! I finished reading the second book! Finished! Done! Toinks! :b

True enough, Katniss has no idea what effect she brings to people. I broke my own rule just to see what happened to the Star Crossed Lovers of District 12. After becoming the victor of the 74th Hunger Games, uprising have begun in other district and her golden pin, the Mockingjay, represented the country's rebellion against the capitol. President Snow visited him to stop to uprising because oblivious with her actions she just triggered the bomb that had been ticking for a long time. On the Victor Tour, she needs to prove their act was only because of desperation of being the Star Crossed Lovers and she didn't want any rebellion to start.

I don't really want to compare the first and second book because they tackle different emotions of  characters, it's beautiful in its own way. And it's really essential to read each book to get hook! Although the second book is not fast-paced unlike the first one, it provides just the right amount of suspense, just right that I'm starting the third book now! hehehe! I also found exciting twists on book 2, the funny moments are still there, and more bloody and torturous acts from the Capitol. Of course the romance part kept me reading all night long!

So if I may say.. Catching Fire is indeed a worthy sequel of Hunger Games! Love it!

After all my ravings to Harry Potter series, here comes the next or close competitor to the magical story of HP. It was introduce to me by a friend, let's call her Audrey. Audrey bought the set and excitedly announce it that it was sooooo good. However since it was highly broadcasted, I was left in a long queue to have my turn in reading the book.

Patience is a virtue... As they say it's worth the wait! (especially when you're broke! LOL)

The story takes place in Panem, a place once known as North America, where the Capitol is surrounded by 12 outlying districts. Every year, each district must send 2 tributes - one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve to eighteen to take part in the Hunger Games where each tribute must fight each other until one only survives. Katniss, who lives her life hunting and supporting her family together with his best firend, volunteers to join the Hunger Games i place of her sister. As she enters the Hunger Games, she will meet new people, she will encounter problems, and whe will have to sort out her feelings. If she wants to win in the Hunger Games, she needs to survive. She needs to kill and show her skills in hunting and survival. she needs to hide her emotions and she needs to lie - all these she needs to do in order for her to survive.

Uhmmm to tell you the truth the title of this novel doesn't gave me an impact... The Hunger Games... The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games! THE HUNGER GAMES!!!

NADA! None! Nothing!

For a chic-flick book buff like me, uhmmm really naaahh aahh! I guess I made my point huh, so enough of the nothing-ness! Well it sounds violent, and yes it is violent however... I realize that "I FOUND LOVE IN A HOPELESS PLACE" Nyahahha!

When I heard that there will be a movie adaptation of the book that will be shown this coming March, I somehow force my way to finally have the book on my hands. (uhhmm still trying to reach my target to be a movie addict!!) This book is like a Pringles, "Once you pop, You can't stop!

All throughout, the book was written in Katniss perspective. When I read the first few chapters it's kind of gloomy to me, hunger, poverty, violence, death are stuff that are not based to my liking. On the other hand from this gloomy factors an unrequited love surface that capture my attention. Yes, ladies and gentleman as you all know, I'm a sucker of such! LOL Love conquers all anyway huh?!

However even some scenes gave a fuzzy feeling, we can't deny the fact that they still have a game to play. Not a game for the kids but survival of the fittest, the game of last man standing. This is kind of disturbing especially when a tribute was slowly eaten alive by some mutated wolves all night long, and Katniss had to shoot him to end his misery.

I think that the funny lines, what-will-happen-next?!, innocence of Katniss and especially the unrequited love kept me going that gave me a zombie-looking-face for my next working day. (Luckily plants are nowhere of sight! LOL)

Overall it's definitely a good book! Two thumbs if I may say!!!

Popped tells the story of Andie Bautista and her friends, Trixie, Nica and Cesca. The four of them have been brought together by what the initially call their "secret shame" -- a fondness for Korean dramas and KPop.

That secret shame soon blows up into a full blown obsession, as Andie and the guys end up not just collecting any available merchandise on their Korean idols, but going on trips to Tokyo and Korea just to watch thm perform and hopefully bump into them and be their friend, in real life.

Grace and AJ are like Christmas lights -- off and on, again again. But their last breakup was devastating. It was enough to make Grace want to run him over in her pale pink Beetle. She even composed 12 steps to quitting him, which wasn't easy because he admittedly was her first love -- the boy she lost her heart when she was a still collecting Hello Kitty stationeries: the boy she never stopped loving since. But something happens that changes Grace's life forever. Now it's time for her to reevaluate everything she has going for her and make a decision. Is this the end of Grace's life as she knows it? Or is she finally going to have the happy ending she so desperately needs?

Now i wonder if i had one when i was younger, after this i'll head to mom for some questioning! hehehe! You guys grab a copy of this, definitely for keeps! Friends, you can borrow mine if you want! Apir!
