In "My Househusband:Ikaw na!" Eugene Domingo plays Aida, A mistress who happens to be Rod (Ryan Agoncillo) and Mia's (Judy Ann Santos) neighbor. With Mia always away,Rod and Aida develop a friendship that even has the Mrs. jealous at one point. When Rod lost his job, Mia again started to work as a part time insurance policy agent and the conflicts within their families started when Mia and Rod are being beaten by their pride, strategies and how to solve their financial constraints.


Fresh from frendshift get together all the way from Bulacan, we decided not to end our day with the long trip (darn traffic!) going back to Manila, we alighted as soon as the bus stops at SM North Edsa (waaah! first time ko! LOL)...

WE ARE GOING TO SEE A MOVIE, A MOVIE, A MOVIE AND IT'S FREE, AND IT'S FREE!!


Deary Renzie paid for our movie tickets (punishment cancelled several night outs, wag tularan! LOL) and equally generous Ninang Gracee treated me for a bucket of popcorn (how will i suppose to watch a movie without it, eerr, how can you breathe with no air?! get it?! arte much?!)...


It's a feel-good movie. However the good part was lacking when I step out the movie house. Superstars like Judy Ann Santos and Eugene Domingo are far from questioning with the not soo good result of it, same thing with Papa Ryan which is very familiar with the said role  (married to Juday?!).I didn't felt their lines, the story wasn't that catchy or they didn't build up each scenes well so everything was so forgettable. I'm sorry mom this is what I really felt (Mom is Juday die-hard) but the thought of opening the people's mind of somehow taboo issue in a light manner makes us value our family more, the value of keeping the marriage together, despite of money matters, friendship and taking responsibilities.

We don't meet a lot. Our schedules most of the time was the culprit of it all. Even on a special day, Christmas, New year, most of all Valentines day! chosss!But this time around it's a bit different, making our way to meet up is necessary. Although I always thought about, this necessary thing was a little too late... A little too late because we already lost someone who's very dear to us. Someone who stand for the necessary meet up... but he's gone. Gone too soon...



There are no mistakes but only lessons learned. After sometime we learned that aside from mocking each other once in awhile through SMS or social networking, we learned to check out each other especially when one is MIA. We become more sensitive with each other, not with the mocking part but more of our health and safety of one another. One time, I went MIA, I was bombarded with SMS from friendshift and lem'me tell you it wasn't sarcastic or anything I'm used to, uhmmm I think it's more of annoyance closing to anger. Hehehe! Load credits and me doesn't look good together, why can't they understand that?!Charmoist!

Moving on, after Garri went to heaven, Friendshift was more intact as ever. We do SMS-ing more often now (especially on my part! LOL!), we have several FB threads to kid or just send hi's and hello's, and (this is record breaking!!!) last year we met up for 5 times, F-I-V-E! That's big five meetings! All for the love of Garri, all meet ups was because of him!

We're still grieving for a lost of a friend and being together with this crazy friendshift in a way lem'me feel that somehow I'm with him since we're all on the same humor wavelength. Something dark, nasty humor. chosss!! This sarcastic humor is somehow contagious, we we're all bitten. By the way this sarcastic humor is only for my true close friends... FYI! So beep, beep a small jeep, wag feeling! :b

It will never be the same, the humor won't be that funny anymore, on my part it will be hard to remember that I'm not on his side when he was all weak and fighting for his life. Because I wasn't informed, what a lame excuse! Because I didn't reach out, I didn't do something, something that I should have done. But again there are no mistakes only lessons learned.



My Dear Garri, I know that you're genuinely happy now and I know you're laughing again because I'm being melodramatic again. I am super happy to where you are right now, it's just that I could have been a better friend to you. If only I knew that your life is slipping away fast, I should have been more caring, more affectionate and most of all I should have given my time to you. Although it's for some selfish reason, because I want more memories with you, for me to keep, to remember now that you're with Him. But I realize everything was just right. He made it all right for us. For you to rest with Him, and for us to learn that life is short. We need to seize the moment, to show and care people how they meant to us. So thinking again, it wasn't late after all... I love you with all my heart Gerkie! Thank you for the little yet meaningful time you spent with me. I'll see you in God's time.

Garri's Warm Family

Everywhere I look I see your smile (name that song in seven words)... Uhmmm I really dunno, I haven't realized that you have such an ordinary face because you're everywhere to me (kanta uli! LOL!). I almost break my neck several times for the past few weeks because I thought I saw you, how they talk, how they dress up, the look, smile... only to realize you're partying hard up there. Maybe you don't have an ordinary face, it's not your face, it's me... Missing you big time.

I'm not the partying kind of gal, though i'm not, I'm also not a KJ, not to experience it at all... My first street party (Is it balck or white party?!) was courtesy of... uh,,, who else?! You! Definitely a Halloween party worth to remember!



Halloween this year was still worth remembering, not because of another crazy dancing street party and drink till you can't drink no more... but it's because of who I am with (FRIENDSHIFT) and where we are. Friendshift get together (that's what you always wanted ayt?!), of course with you however, you're six feet under the ground...


It's a rainy weekend but that didn't stop us to spend some time with you. I prefer to go through this bad weather than to feel this sad longing emptiness inside me (touch ka no?! mwuahs!).

Never in his 40 days that I failed to visit his Facebook page. In this simple way, it's like I get to spend time with him. I remember how he put us (his friends) before himself. I remember how he boast that he came from a good looking family and how his mom good cooking satisfy his tummy every meal. I remember how he turned a gloomy day to a extraordinary cheerful day with his classic funny lines and acts. I remember how he live his life with enthusiasm. I remember him everyday...

But sometimes I just feel  the emptiness, and seeing his page is not enough to overcome how much I miss him. So on his 40th day of passing away and supposed to be 26th birthday, we (Friendshift) set our sail to Bulacan to have some Garri's-loving and share it with his family as well.


For a special gift we come up with a doll look-alike caricature that may reminds the family how good looking their son is. Mini-Me caricature is somewhere in Mega Mall and finding it is like finding a treasure in a deep blue sea especially when you have sense of direction quotient of -50%. LOL  I was with a friend and we run north to south, east to west finding the Mini-Me store however we failed. When I'm about to give up, I kinda blurted "Hoy Garri! Tulong help naman dyan, alam mo naman nga-ngers ako sa mall! diba?! diba?!", and after that we took an elevator and viola after we alighted... apparition, hallucination, dillusion or whatever-tion.... Mini-Me Store present itself , shimmering and sparkling like golds and diamonds... wowoot! Thanks Gerkie!

 I'm devastated when he passed away. I had no idea, his death, came without any warning. Shock, was the first emotion, disbelief, overwhelmed with sadness and completely lost in an emotion that was unfamiliar. It felt all that, much worse because I haven't had a chance to held his hand when he was fighting for his life, most especially I never had a chance to say goodbye. I know deep down, he knows how much we love him but I never thought that time is running out for him... So much left unsaid.


First year college... that's when our path crossed. I can't remember how Garri and I officially met, all I know is that we belong in the same class, that's it! We have different set of friends, until such time we've learned that we are on the same wave length. Then the best thing in my college life happened, FRIENDSHIFT was formed.

I was elected as the president of our class, which I still take as a well played prank on me. Each time that our college held a president's meeting, which i'm oblige to attend to, he always accompany me even it means waiting for a couple of hours outside the meeting room... alone. Afterwards he'll asked to have a snack and we'll talk anything or everything under the sun. I misunderstood him then.



City life or if I may say my college classmates, (most of them grew up in Manila), "culture shocked" me when I've learned that they are not into partying, drinking, smoking or any vices at all. Hahaaay, television always exaggerates everything huh?! Disclaimer, I'm not proud... smoker. Anyhow, uhmmm yeah... I do smoke when I was in college, and since college classmates doesn't have any vices at all. I kept it to myself. After tummy-filling-lunch-time at Aling Luchie's eatery, I run to a store near my dormitory to puff a cigarette (uhmm by the way my dormitory is just outside the university). I always made my next subject book or stuff as an excuse to get away with the group.

However, as they said secrets are not secrets forever...



As my routine goes, after sinigang for two (lubay and me, my lunch buddy) and 2 half rice (well counted as one order of rice! hahaha! we always love this eatery joke! "Pa-Order nga dalawang half rice!"), gone with my excuse and straight to my oasis (uhhmm.. sari-sari store?! hahaha!). While I'm standing on what I called my "oasis" and looking at my worn out shoes, I noticed a brown leather shoes across mine. When I looked up to see  the owner of the shoes... "UUHH...  UUHHMM... HI GARRI!"



Garri was far away thrilled to see me that day, his eyes was all condemning and weary, uhmm angry, naah! he was all exasperated. I clearly remembered his litany that day...

"Orange, Ano yan?! Yosi! Masama sa health yan! Ano susunod dyan, mgdru-drugs ka?! tapos mgkaka-anak, asawa ng maaga?! Ano yang ginagawa mo?!! "

Not only his words put me in awe (i know!! he over-reacted!), I was speechless when he took my cigarette away and stubbed it out on his palm... Ohh yess! His palm! HIS PALM! HHHIIIISSSS PPPAAALLMMM!! (okay, that's me.. uhmm over-reacting! hahaha!) I was moved by his act and in the same way distraught me, so my defense mechanism was to act annoyed, since he over-reacted (LOL). I wanted him out of my sight at that very moment, so I again used my excuse that I need to drop by to my dormitory to pick up my stuff. He didn't leave my side. He insisted of coming with me because I might go back to "my oasis", he escorted me as if I was a prisoner. After that... we didn't speak to each other, or I may say I haven't spoken with him... one month. Pretending he didn't exist. I misunderstood him again...



But then Garri is a jolly person in nature. I assume that he's composed of 99.99% funny bones and remaining is just a cartilage. LOL! I even acted ill towards him, uhmm... He just brushed it off and still do the joking once in awhile. I remember singing the song of Sixpence None the Richer...

"Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight, Lead me out on the moonlit floor, Lift your open hand, Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance, Silver moon's sparkling... So kiss me" 

Before ending the month of April, college friends decided to take some time off from work and other stress from our ordinary day. Armed with a bag of salted egg, Kaldereta, Pusit, plus a supply of drinks,and chips, we went up the steep road from Taytay-Tikling Junction that lead us to Bosay Resort. Apparently, a lot of people hated the warm atmosphere in downtown Manila that almost all of the cottages of the resort were occupied. We were still lucky to have a family Kubo that was located near the disco and olympic pool. It was indeed an overnight swimming. We swam our heart out starting 1100pm-0500am, till the lifeguards, announced Time is up!! Another awesome get away with friendshift! That was all pure-clean fun!! HAYLAVEET! After distressing with company of old pals from PUP, its time to head home to Saint Paul to catch up with long time High school friends. (pheew!! this specific weekend was really tiring!) First stop.. QJ house to visit her newly born baby boy, Gab! huh?! cutie, chubby baby boy but for me haggardness at its finest. Do i need to explain why?! Next stop.. JM Birthday Bash There's a lot of peeps and unfortunately JM doesn't have a lot of time to entertain us, so i just took her puppy and did a smile for a click! Good news! JM's is pregnant! Apir! We may not do everything together or share every part of our lives, but I really enjoy your company and love spending time with you. We have enough in common to give us things, to share and talk about and enough differences to keep those talks interesting. You often give me a new idea, a perspective I haven't thought of, or a delightful way of looking at something. That's all this is for-just to let you know that you matter to me and that I'm thankful for you and for the friendship we share...
