Open Sesame, Cafe Lago!

10:30 PM

I'm a regular jogger. Sampaloc lake is one of my haven. I don't miss a day jogging of my weekend-in-the-province as long as dogs and cats are not falling from heavy dark clouds. The lake keeps my long legs (choss!) and feet busy for thirty minutes or so. Sometimes more than that if I decided to run twice at 4kms-around -the-lake-path.

The starting point is the big Tilapia that definitely you can't miss. But in this 4kms path another haven is hidden within the haven. Cafe Lago can be found just before you end your around the lake jog. Well that's if you'll go on your right facing the big Tilapia but if you want to forget the sweat, you can just turn left and walk half a kilometer (or maybe less than that...) and Eureka... Cafe Lago! Tada!

Exterior of a place can really be deceiving, from the look of it, it's a cafe... just an ordinary place. Nothing special. But once you've entered the place, it's like Aladdin saying the magic word, "Open Sesame!" ooohh oooh yes! We absolutely love it! LOVE IT!

The cozy ambiance, good view, secluded area... uhmmm it all just fit in for a super nice hide out. Hehehe! Actually my romantic-curls-cousin, Hazel, discovered the place with the help of her friends. We love how they designed the place, in touch with nature and everything was perfect for us. Would you believe that we park our ass in Cafe Lago for four solid hours and all we did was to chat. The place was sooo good and we'll definitely coming back, with other cousins too.

Deceiving as their exterior, same with the name of their place. I thought they're specializing or I mean their best seller would be different kinds of coffee. They serve sodas in can, brewed coffee and hot choco... uhmm that's it! Then I realize that they cater more to those who's up for a heavy meal after losing some fats by offering breakfast like Tapsilog and other ___silog meal. They do offer other dishes too but what we've tried was their Tuna and Chicken sandwich. Nothing fancy on food presentation but it's okay. Romantic-curls-cousin tried their hot choco which she loved because of it's Filipino taste. She must really love cocoa, since one cup isn't enough. LOL! However, I think the food was overpriced a bit but the place covers it all. Regardless, I'm coming back!
