I remember the first time I was congratulated given a new responsibility and transferred to a new team. "Congrats and welcome to maroons!", question marks was plastered all over my face, "Uuhh? Thanks?" Little did I know then aside from the name of the team, each team have it's own color. Maybe I really know it then, but I wasn't informed that they take it seriously, LOL! Just like blue to Ateneo and green to La Salle, huh?!

A friend told me that there's a new coffee shop in Makati. Caffe Benne is originated in South Korea. They serve coffees, be it hot, iced or frapp and a lot of pastries.  Being a person who loves "first times", it's a must, to try it out. Add to the fact that I have a friend who is a K-Pop addict, she loves everything that is "korean", so this is really it for my January first time project.

Fortunately after a muscle killing, a-week-lingering-body pain, badminton game, I was able to drag my friends to Caffe Benne. We drag each other actually, because where just too pagod, however that won't stop us for our first time. All right, so here comes the dreading part, finding the place. Zero qoutient in terms of directions, address, street names... aahh you know that already. Yes we did loose our way a bit, thanks to phone a friend life line, we saw the light just in time, in time for my crumbling tummy. Caffe Benne is in Multinational building along Ayala Avenue. However it's in the back part of the building. I believe it's easier if you'll go to Valero instead, well if you're coming from RCBC or somewhere there.

Caffe Benne offers a cozy ambiance that I instantly love. They do have seats outside their shop, which is very important to me. *winks* I adore their couch, their spacious seats, how the whole shop is designed, I found it so comforting. Soft music playing, fluffy-softie couch and smiling crew, I controlled myself to ask for a pillow. Eveything in Caffe Benne are lulling me to sleep *yawn*.


Luckily I got to held on my virtue, home is where the bed is, so we head to the counter and check on their mouth watering treats. Since I already had my daily caffeine dose, I decided to have their Misugaru cold drink. The drink is non-caffeine, a healthy drink that comes with.... My verdict, not for me. It tasted different, maybe it's too healthy for me. Hehehe! I ordered pandesal asado too, so Filipino right?! And its the most affordable too! *winks* We also tried their Choco banana bread, its a stack of toasted white bread with banana and whip cream on top sprinkled with choco chips. Nom! Nom! Nom! Though it's not like my lucban longganisa yum (weird comparison, lol!) but i love it cause is not sweet, soft bread and the mixture of banana and whip cream just clicked together.

My friend says this isn't the first Caffe Benne in the Philippines, there is one in Libis too. Another friend told me that Caffe Benne in South Korea is still the best, which I think it should be or must be, since they started it anyway. So I learned that aside from Kimchi, koreans loves coffee too, they have a lot of coffee shop in South Korea, I assume they love to park their ass for couple, quadruple of hours in coffee shops too, because I do. Something korean in me?! even with my big rounded eyes?! hahaha! Now I wonder what's my name in korean... Phone a friend!

A healthy 2014!

Me and my girl friends, as always, is up to something... Aside from my yearly new year resolution, yeah, yearly just because I never ever fulfill it, in every passing year. What is it?! Drum roll please.... to gain weight! Uurgghh! I dunno why it so hard, though I wasn't faithful to my game plan anyway. So yeah aside from gaining weight, we want some body sweating and pain killing action, perfect way to attain it... another drum roll please... badminton.



A nearby badminton center which is, The Zone, a perfect location for our pain killing crime which we are planning to commit every Friday. Oohh yes you read it right, every Friday, after my work (since im in night shift and all of them in broad day light). Unlike them who has ample time to spend time with each other, I also insist this so I'll have time to see their beautiful faces, ooh yes they really are pretty, smart, witty, talented because same feather flocks together! Winks!

For our first game of the year, armed with our rackets, our dusty play shoes which is unused for the longest time, our shorty shorts and leggings, and the excitement of moving, running and playing our heart out, we acted out our plan. GAAMEEE!!

For only 100 hundred pesos per head you may play till you die, too OA?! or too morbid?! LOL! We also bought a couple of shuttle cock in their front desk which cost us 80php. They do have locker and shower area, however I dunno if they charge extra for that.

We head to Zone court 2 and play... service, back hand, smash everything was just to easy, easy to think about! We laughed and bullied each other most of the time actually. Moving our asses to run for the shuttle cock, saving it even hitting it in the most newbie and awkward way was an achievement. A week long muscle pain was our reward but nevertheless laughing out loud and spending time with my crae-crae friends would top it all. Indeed super uberly awesomely fun!

Hopefully next friday is bf day again... badminton Friday it is!!!

Remember the monthly project I have with da'barkads?! Ooohh yeah, K-PUB in BGC is our next target. The mouth watering eat all you can Samgyupsal is our target for my favorite month, October. However as much as you want to plan things out, sometimes, things won't happen just the way it's in blueprint.

Second week of October, da'barkads backed out to our plans due to some time-money-issues (nothing serious?! it's just that we have to save for future gimiks!). Sad, though we can move that for November, however I don't have a "something new" for October. Though, they say if the door closes, a window opens. A light at the end of the tunnel?! Rainbow after the rain?! Better opportunity?! Oohh yes! Better opportunity means libre!! Free! Free! Free! Waaahoooo!  Free lunch buffet at Flavors Holiday Inn Makati Suites! Apir!


Well to tell you the truth, this isn't that free, nothing in return thing. A suppose to be me-time-Sunday was taken off to have extra work off site. Ooohh, not that I'm complaining. I so love my job and complaining isn't connected at all with that. Our Close Out Summit took place at Holiday Inn Makati Suites and after some hours of listening and sharing what we need to share, it's time to eat! Yaaay!


Flavors is the sole restaurant located within the vicinity of the hotel. From the level of meeting and function spaces there's a grand staircase (i wish i have one in my room *winks*) going to the restaurant. The kids area caught my attention, (i love colorful things and this side of the restaurants is a stand out because of the kids toys) I really wanted to run and play, however I realized that I came there as a matured woman attending a meeting. Chosss! That area was a sight to see. If other people gets comfort with a view of nature, mine is kids and their play area.

Moving forward there we're seats reserved for our group. I love that they also have tables with couch unfortunately some colleagues were occupying the beloved couch. cry! sob! cry! On the end of the restaurant the buffet table was set up with matching glitters and stars above, ooppss! I think the stars and glistening is just part of my imagination and my crumbling tummy. I only have limited pictures for this eating adventures since my tummy didn't permitted me to take pictures. There was a war in my stomach so I headed automatically to the buffet bar and feasted to different mouth watering treats! aaayyiiieee! (PG lang ang peg)



First on my plate, something light, naaaah! Bring it on rice, I'm ready for you! Hahahaha! Its Veggies Paella, something like that. Healthy me, ayt?! Add to that a chessy broccoli which i super love. I'm a rat, and i adore cheese and the broccoli... i love it. period! I also had a flavored steamed squid and some red meat that I totally forgot. toinks! I also tried the fish which they called snapper, which I called skipper, hahahaha! Why?! I dunno! I though it was skipper eh, snapper pala syeeett! lol! They also served some baked tahong which I didn't tried since my tummy is not used to it. I hoarded maki, different kinds of it, overflowed on my plate. California maki is what I know best. But there's a lot of it in there, which I didn't acquainted myself of. I just munched all of them up. hehehehe! takaw!



Next is the dessert bar, my colleagues literally run to it, to take pictures. They all cute and sweet. I'm not a sugar person but they look cute so I tried it. Banoffee Pie is really uberly arnibal-ly sweet. It was a bit of challenge to finish it all up, but i did! hehehe! Cakes, ice creams, panna cotta...  there's a lot! All I can say is that I had too much of everything that I didn't ate dinner or even breakfast the next day because I'm feeling bloated and heavy. :)

Since it was company charge, I didn't know how much they charge per head. So I did a little research, and I found out that lunch buffet at Flavors will cost you around 1,200php per head. Actually I only had Yakimix for a buffet experience and compare to it, Flavors offered a little less compare to Yakimix but maybe that is just enough for me since I'm not really a big eater.

Flavors experience is a thumbs up, maybe because it's free and the staff are nice and accommodating as well. I'm coming back? Let me think about it. Hahahaa! May libre ba uli? :)

I'm a bit under the weather for the past few days, uhmm maybe the stress of work or just because of this yearly flu vaccine shot given to employees. Don't get me wrong, I don't have bad blood with syringe (which most people do, matapang ako!), but the vaccine... oh yes I do. For two straight years the flu vaccine just don't do any good for me, and every year I don't learn my lesson well. Five days after the shot, here comes the unwelcome visitors, sore throat, runny nose, flu, and cough.  And guess what it's just mid of the week, how on earth will I rest my body in peace(if its only Wednesday)?!

Since my weakling body called for it, I filed for a vacation leave and took a day off. However I realized that, VL is sayang, if I'll just stay in bed and sleep. My mind has its feet of its own. A complete itinerary, food and massage packed in one long night, processed automatically in my mind. Luckily, my partners in crime filed their leave as well and got approved. Yaaayyy! Let the fun begins!

For our first stop... The Burger Project

How did I know bout it?! Uhhhmm it's pretty popular, especially their store in Quezon City and Taft. Though I didn't care back then, since I'm not your patty princess. I eat it but I do not crave for it and besides those area are pretty far from my place. Urrgghhh, traffic, lrt sardines, naaahh! One time while watching the boob tube, Kris Reality TV featured it. And it somehow caught my interest, especially when I learned that there's a new burger project near my hub.

The concept of The Burger Project is to create your own burger with it's step by step checklist and you'll have the privilege to name it. Starting with the patties, bun, cheese, basic toppings up to premium toppings, feeling a true blood foodies, your choice!

Actually the place is easy to be spotted but since we are a bit below average in terms of direction, nothing new, ooh yeah we lost our way. That would be another story. Moving on, we entered a the store and the graffiti designs on the wall, makes the place lively and cool. Different seat tyle, couch, high chairs and tables, but you know very well that I so love the couch. So we chose the high chairs, (chosss!), the couch of course near the counter.

Work... Run... Eat... Run...Work..

Ending my work week with a sumptuous meal, but as they say you want something delicious.. cook it?! naaah! mine is FIND IT! My dear girls and boys, Eureka it is!!! I found the place!

Last friday, as I was busy with some office stuff (net surfing, twitter, SMS-ing ), a friend poke me in chat, a lunch out invite. He was browsing the net and found a good place near our work hub, something looking deli and undeniably mouth watering. A weak in nature that I am (especially new places with good food and ambiance) I automatically gave in.

On the dot, I picked up my purse and I tagged along my little friend (sarcasm tone on the little) and off we go to the place. Sometimes you'll wish lunch break can be 2 hours and more, in my case I was locked in to 1 hour. That's where the running comes in...


About 2 blocks away from my work place, Chubby's Rib Shack is located at Solaris One, Dela Rosa Street. We walked for about 15 minutes to reach the new found haven. I'm catching my breath when we entered the place, it's cabin like  ambiance, wooden ceiling and chopped wood in their walls gave a cozy feeling. They also have this open kitchen, that I haven't given so much fuss about, since I was excited to call on the server for the menu. What  to eat? What to eat? ... and what time is it?



This quicky gastronomic experience is asking for a repeat (Just drop the running part). I will be going back to try the other foodies. Like their nachos, burgers, buffalo wings while having some booze... and not just for an hour. :b


Actually there is a lot to explore near the office, the whole Ayala Stretch still have a lot to offer. I'm hearing JT's Manukan for our next food spotting. Till next entry... Ciao!

I dunno but some really do crave for something, and even if you shoo the thought away, circumstances brings you to it. It might be some kind of test, or maybe just maybe be the nosy one and break your own rule. What is this all about? It's about a pizza. Yes, the round thingy with meaty, veggies and other mouthwatering stuff on top. Hep, hep don't laugh, this us one serious entry.

Early morning that day, Mappy tagged me along to eat the heavy burger meal from big brothers burger while updating each other 'bout anything. I was famished, after an 8 hour sleep, will surely do, luckily Maps waited for me before going home that day (he's in GY shift, while I'm in morning shift). When brekky was served, you know the feeling when you're really hungry, when you feel like you can gulp down the whole burger in just one munch, oohh yeah it didn't happened, but I finished my burger all up which I dont usually do, up to the last sesame seeds! hehehe!

It's been awhile since I've been with the team, with them is my comfort zone. Though it's been said that being too much in your comfort zone is like water stuck in a tire. Stagnant! A dangerous place to be in. And as if on cue, an opportunity was drawn into my way, for that, though it's sad to leave the awesome people in my team, I'm taking my... farewell tequilla shot.

It's really not me to be mushy and all but I really love the team. We bonded through time, work performance, issues, meetings and especially log outs. *winks* Having different personalities, clashing ideas are normal, that didn't hinders us to be sincerely caring and concern with each other. It may be work, personal, or just any crazy stuff. I was moved when they told me that they didn't want me to go. I guess aside from being crazy and insane during meetings, I did some other things that may be right. Hahaha!

 After awhile getting back to a familiar place, felt awesomely good. It just brings back memories and adding up more to it. Swimming might not into me but having it once in my life, not be the best but surely one of the happiest. And freestyle I go... Zoooomm!

To my favorite billiard buddy... eeerrrr... I miss you... I miss us... and... and and I'm just joking! LOL! It's long over and gone, its just billiards and you co-exist together. So you know, I can't help talking about one without mentioning the other one. I'm not getting into one of those emo state, naaaah.. aaaah! Just a statement, stating a fact?!  :b
