Happy 25th of October at David's Tea House

6:00 PM

My deary homies are big fan of Chinese food, every time we eat out, their special request is something Chinese. Though I'm not really sure of this since there's limited choices here in San Pablo. I can't wait once other dishes will be served here in our place, actually I'm looking forward for some Koreans... ooopss! I mean Korean dish! :)

So going back to Chinese... I've tried different restaurant that serves Chinese but nothing beats North Park, second on my list would be... David's Tea House. David's Tea House has been considered  as above average class style with an ambiance of modern Chinese restaurants here in the Philippines.

Last, last week as I was on the bus and as soon as we entered San Pablo, I saw some flyers and posters on the streets stating that there's a new restaurant in town. I'm always on the lookout for new places and restaurants in San Pablo, though this isn't new to my taste but my parents are. We've tried Hap Chan several times, however I still find David's better than it. So I was excited to bring along my mom and dad to have a taste of David's and compare it to our Hap Chan experience.

So since it's the 25th day of the month, I tagged them  along. David's Tea House San Pablo was operating for several months now,  2-3 months, I guess. It's located at Pure Gold Building, Colago Avenue, Barangay IA, San Pablo City. The place is spacious compared to Hap Chan San Pablo, as a matter fact, they do have second level where they have special reservations such as weddings, birthdays, or special events.

As soon as we entered the premises, we we're greeted warmly by one of the staff, lead us to our comfy couch seat which i truly love by the way. Spacious and soft! Just the way I like it! It was a little past 1, so we we're the only guest in. The restaurant staff are very attentive, they even offered to take our picture.. Hahahaha! Eating out won't be complete without some photo ops! :)

Here come's the main attraction:

Assorted Dimsum Platter

Beef meatballs, pork and shrimp wanton, four season scallop dumpling, hakaw,  fried spring rolls, and pork and shrimp siomai. I surely loved how it served. The cute steamed basket or whatever they call it felt the experience more chinese (i thought my eyes transformed to those little-close-chinky-eyes! eeerrr! feelingera!) I love their siomai as always. Though I haven't eaten much of the platter cause I had too much of everything but I can say that it's the best dimsum in town since my dad approves it! *winks*

Yang Chow Fried Rice

I'm a rice person, though it doesn't look like it (wag kontra!), so this is a usual whenever I've been to any Chinese hub, even in Chowking (hehehehe!). I love the fact that the dish is a meal itself. Having plenty of cold cuts, sausage bits, green peas, shrimps... ooohh how I miss my Lolo Greg. YangChow is a mainstay on our New Year's Family Gathering cooked by tatay. We miss you Tatay!

Sauteed Squid with Broccoli Flower

I like my veggies fresh and crunchy and I finished the plate all by myself, how about a round of applause?! Choss! Though I'm not really into squid, i prefer it fried, with a beer! Hahaha! I ate the veggies, my mom and dad munch the squid. Perfect! :)

Assorted Coldcuts

I was suppose to order Seaweed and Century Egg, since it's the 25th, i heard seaweed is a must. However when it was served we have the variety of coldcuts. It comes with white chicken, seaweeds with century egg, soy tito (pig's stomach), soy tengga (pig's ear) and roasted pork asado. Having that ear and stomach in our table, made it sound like I'm a hard-core cannibal, hahaha! Well it's liberating in a way. That's the most exotic food that I had. LOL! Fine, exotic is a strong word, different will do! Though my dad said it's rubbery chewy. I haven't ate of this much, onti lang. Though I tried the century egg, and it tasted just the same. I thought it was like smelly or something because of it's color but nada.. it's egg... a  colored one!

David's Special Noodles

And I won't miss this in the world, especially today! Hahaha! Juicy, yummy and tasty and I so love the overflowing veggies toppings on top of it! Indeed a feast! I looovvveee!!! How I wish I can have this again... now! uurrghh! I'm starving!

Mango Shake

Ten-ten and I share the same thirst for Mango Shake. We always have one whenever we eat out, however the best mango shake that I've shared with Ku-Teng served at Aristocrat.

After eating my dad agrees that David's Tea House is more authentic than Hap Chan. So David's expect more of us since the oldies loved it. We really had a great time. :) Look at those faces... toinks!

I don't celebrate birthdays. I just don't. Will I be executed for that? Exile to another place and time? :b naaaah! I like it quiet and fun, time for family and close friends, especially with myself. Though I accept gifts regardless if I don't know the person, uhmm especially cash. Choss! Lol! Happy 25th of October! Ciao!
