Marvel Studios: Avengers

2:50 PM

Growing up I'm more of a Power Rangers, Captain Planet, BioMan, Shaider, Ultraman Ace fan rather the Marvel comics heroes. My older brother has more to say on the Marvel thingy. I remember him coming home with this suspicious brown paper package handled with utmost care. And when he opened it...

BAAAM!

...fresh from this local comic shop boasting that it's one of their limited edition, woooaaaah! The hell I care! LOL!

After so many years here comes "Avengers" movie. Huwwhhaaattt??!! All right I didn't turned ballistic at all when i heard the news, naaah aahhh! But I know the guys, they are from my neighborhood (choooss!), well I'm definitely not a fan but I'm not stupid. Let's just say I dunno their whole story. So when the movie came out, I said... "All right!! So how are you doing today?" Toinks!

Until day, weeks passed and heard the positive raves from the movie goers. So when a friend invited me for a movie night out, I decided to go ahead and check the movie.

After the events from the film "Thor", humanity realized that they need more powerful weapons to counter-attack alien invading forces. Coincidentally, they find the tesseract, a cube-like structure with vast power, that they hope they can harness to these weapons. Unfortunately, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) gains possesion of the tesseract and has a plan to takeover as king of Earth. Now, Nick Fury ( Samuel L. Jackson) has decided that the only hope that humanity has is to rekindle the now-defunct Avenger initiative and assemble a group of extraordinary men namely: Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). The group must find Lki and the tesseract before he is able to use its power to gain access to an alien army.
I was hesitant to watch the movie on the big screen thinking that I won't able to understand it since I haven't watch solo movies of any of the avengers and damn I'm not into bloody fight scenes. Although I'm not seems like it, I'm indeed a peace lover. (Choss!)

Surprisingly I find it very entertaining and worth watching. The turn and twist of events hold me on my seat and eyes glued on the screen all through out the movie. Dull moments is alienated in this movie, Iron Man sense of humor let me laugh-rolling out loud. Such a funny man and If I may say Robert Downey Jr. played his part well. Now I'm thinking of going to a nearby video rental store for the Iron Man The Movie (is it good guys??!! shoot me an email if it's worth it!). Actually every story of each of the avenger are definitely good, it was like a typical aliens wanted to conquer but in the end the good will prevail. I haven't watch any trailer of the movie so I'm really puzzled what role was Mark Ruffalo played until he turned into a green scary hulk! My niece was soooo aliw with The Hulk especially when he do all the shouting and moves scaring people around him. Chris Evans is definitely one helluva eye candy (gwapo aaayy!) his seriousness however is a big turn off to me (ummfftt! choossy pa! LOL) however he must been living to his name the captain that's why he's acting like that, so i'll let it go! Paaaaak! The Black Widow is ... uhmmm who is she?! hahaha! I don't know her ever until I watched the film. Good job on Scarlett acting, and she's naturally pretty just like me (un ang sabi ng nanay, kaya wag na kumontra!).

Sometimes you just have to go beyond your comfort zone, and you'll realize that it isn't that bad.

HEHEHE! too much for a movie review... joke! All I want to say this move is a two thumbs up! Superbly awesome. Money worth it. Belly aching tawa out loud! Paaaak! That's it! Pansit!
