I started making those big waves, splash, big paddles and push and that was summer before my sixth grade. It wasn’t easy for me at first when I took my swimming lesson, **first time are always scary isn’t?!** . A week kicking, breathing practice and gliding, so we proceed to proper strokes lesson **wiiiihhiii freestyle was my forte then**. Learn to Swim Summer classes ended and Coach Jerry Banaag invited me to join the San Pablo City Swimmers Club, I was so intense with my swimming skills then so I automatically gave my yes not even informing my parents! **Patay!!** First competition I ended up with a bag of medal, **it’s a novice meet, what can u expect?! Prefer back stroke at this stage** after that I participated on meets mostly in our city, like Division Meet and InterSchool! Training Schedule Monday-Friday 0600PM-0800PM (swimming) Saturday 0430AM-0600AM (Strecthing,Jogging&Weights) 0400PM-0600PM (swimming) Can you imagine I started out my formal training when I was in Sixth Grade, being in this swim club doesn’t mean that you just like it. It will cover most of your time all through out your studying years. Till third year high school I trained hard everyday just to improve my skill however with my height and built of my body, naaaah! I didn’t run a chance in my age division ** add to the fact that they started at a very young age** Swimming isn’t just a one day training then you got the game, it’s a year of practice, a constant training to maintain the agility, speed and to improve the stroke. Sportsmanship, time management, camaraderie, and being responsible in what you eat, drink and other things that may affect your skill, that’s being in the club all about**of course attending training everyday is one helluva factor, take note rain or stormy rain, training goes on!**. Passion is very important at any game, I didn’t succeed so much in this meet in my life but the experience with this superb club can never be exchange to a gold medal in the Olympics…. Uhmmm.. ung totoo?! D aq sure! Ahehehe! Chosz lang!
