The Pig Out Race
11:06 PMI've heard people rave about Ayala Triangle Gardens. It's a distinct and suprising spot of green in the middle of one of the country's busiest business hubs. The spacious and green area of passers-by and the jogging/running community is now welcoming foodies into the scene.
Banapple is a friendly bakery cafe that serves freshly-baked pies, cheesecakes and desserts as well as good food and coffee. Banapple got it's name from their two best sellers Banoffee Pie, and Apple Caramel Crumble. Since the restaurant is small, you get this warm and close feel. Once seated, you have to order your food in the counter ala fast food and minutes later your food will be served.

I ordered one of their mouth watering pie and indeed it is wonderfully good. Each one of us ordered a pie so it's like having 5 or 6 pies in one night since i got to taste all of it. So friends and I starts to dig in and we can't stop saying how good it was. Yummy!
A week before this mouthwatering treat, i saw this lifestyle show when i randomly pick on channel to watch. This show happened to features some restos in the metro. That's where i discover BonChon...
BonChon Chicken, originally from South Korea and has become so popular in the US, most especially in New York, is located in Makati along the restaurant strip of the Ayala Triangle Gardens. According to BonChon Chicken website, they fry chicken twice, which takes the fat out and makes the skin very light and crispy.
I love chicken especially when it's fried however i only munch fried chicken if it's leg, thigh or wing part. Luckily what i had is a leg part but i doubt if they serve other chicken part except from what i prefer, so BonChon is really my type of chicken! However is kinda small so it's bitin but nevertheless it's crispy and yummy so still... Two thumbs up!
So what we did, we had a to-go-food from BonChon and ate it at Banapple with their pie, good thing there's no corkage! We tried two wonderful food in one night, not bad! And in terms of anjubels or money, it's soo affordable or if ever it's pricey than the usual, expect a yummy big serving from them that you won't get from a regular rate. choppy?! Maybe what i'm trying to say is, your money is all worth it at this two pretty stores! Bon Apetite!
